Self Portraits and portraits Part I AND Rules of Photography Part 2

Tips:

  1. Looking within the frame – alternatively you could have your subject looking at something (or someone) within the frame.
  2. Introduce a Prop Add a prop of some kind into your shots and you create another point of interest that can enhance your shot.
  3. Change the Format FramingMany photographers get stuck in a rut of only ever shooting either in ‘landscape’ (when the camera is held horizontally) or ‘portrait’ (when the camera is held vertically) modes.

Examples of the three different types of portraits

  •   environmental portrait
  •  a self-portrait
  •  casual portrait

    Casual Potrait:

I like these Photos because of the black and white element and because of the different faces, there not all smiling. I also love that in these photos they are all the focus like a good portrait should be on the actual person and nothing else, there is no other distracting factors.

    Environmental photos:

I choose these pictures because of the amazing lighting! They just capture the beautiful element that is nature. I also love that they are "different", you don't see these styles everyday.

    Portraits:

I really like these these photos because they carry the feeling of happiness about. I leo love how there backgrounds are "there" but not there. Another plus to this selection is the guy's luscious  hair, he really needs a star, because that hair is just the bomb.com.
